Blobs

Another quiet Sunday and just the customary walk out along Moorside for 16yo and myself. The white blobs of sheep and the gulls add some interest to the pastures. 

It has been a surprise to see this exact spot used for establishing and transition shots in the new Channel 4 drama series, The Couple Next Door. Ostensibly set in Leeds, this is a remake of a Dutch series and confusingly seems to be filmed mainly on location in the Netherlands  with the housing, forests and dunes being a big give away, plus they sometimes forget to change the number plates on the vehicles. However occasionally they’ll have a scene in Leeds City Centre, and also a series of drone shots which I guess are meant to convey ‘generic Yorkshire’ and ‘Leeds in its setting’, and it’s these that all seem to have been filmed at Moorside, which I probably don’t need to remind you, is in Bradford.
