Across the Bay

We drove home up the coast from Newport and spent quite a bit more time in Tillamook than we wanted. This is looking west from town toward Cape Meares at a lovely peak with a big chunk of clear cut bitten right out of it. 
Our trusty electric car needed more juice, and it took three tries at three different charging stations to accomplish that. After phone calls, it turned out the first two were out of commission. Each one required an app to download and figuring out the usual frustrating instructions on the "pumps," but the one at the local Fred Meyer came through taking about an hour and a half to gain 200 miles or so.  Luckily we could walk to a cafe for lunch and a game of Bananagrams while waiting. What a relief when it was finally full and we zipped on home. 
We expected the stress as it was the first time to fill it up away from home. The Extra is one of the pumps.
