Festtag’s Stollen…
…or Christstollen or Weihnacht’s Stollen call it what you will, I love it and I love making it.
I baked them a bit too long but we’ve tried some and it’s delicious. The only thing is, if it is baked too long it will dry out quicker. I’ll have to wrap them up airtight - or - we could just eat them!
The big one is going up to Sabrina’s with us on Friday.
I still have to make the nut roast, it’s the Jamie Oliver ‘Best Ever Cranberry +
Pistachio Nut Roast’.
It’s been pouring down all day.
I’m glad I didn’t need to go anywhere.
Frank went to entertain the elderlies in the care home in Gargrave. He goes once a month and they all enjoy themselves.
Sabrina said Susie the cat has been looking for Millie. It will take some getting used to for them all.
I think I’ve sent all the Christmas cards now but actually I can’t remember who I’ve sent them too. Some folk might get none and some may get 2! Yes, I had a list! I’ve been feeling a bit dippy lately 8-[ It could be too much going on or the fluctuating doses of HRT - they often have none in stock!
Did you hear that in the UK we now have 140,000 homeless children and obviously their parents added to that number. It’s absolutely disgraceful!
Whole families living in one hotel room, nowhere to put their belongings or to store food hygeinically.
Poor kids going to school and being embarrassed about being homeless.
It breaks my heart.
I’m off to bed with my book now, I want to finish it as I have a new one to read.
Goodnight :-)X
