Mahonia x media "Charity"

This morning we did a bit of food shopping and then, in the afternoon, visited  my aunty again. She has been sent many Christmas cards by her friends and acquaintances, and wanted to reciprocate, so we helped her write some  twenty or so. As she tires quickly, and is also becoming  slower and more forgetful,  we had  to prioritise who was sent a card, which in itself was a challenge! 
She was pleased when I gave her some recent photos of my Mother (her older sister). The saddest thing is I can't take my mother to see her, as it would upset them  both so much. (They now live 70 miles apart,too. ) 

My blip is of a rather stunning Mahonia shrub flowering in my Mother's garden.
