Happy smiley faces.

Another really busy day at work. Also got a bit of a cold/sore throat thing going on so have been feeling a bit sorry for myself today.

After work I sat in rush hour traffic for nearly an hour to get across town to get to my Mum's new care home where I am in charge of organising everything/planning/measuring the room etc for her coming up here in three weeks time. She only mentioned it a couple of weeks ago and now it's all happening so soon. Once I organise a removal company that is!

I was supposed to be going round to give my nephew his birthday present too but the traffic was so awful that we decided that I should put it off until the weekend. I'm sure he will have had too many pressie anyway so hopefully when the novely of those has worn off a bit mine will excite him again.

Father-in-law phoned this afternoon too asking if I minded going to pick him up and taking him to Mother-in-laws house again as he isn't managing to put the drops in his eyes properly and can't see very well which is one of the issues still hanging on after his bout of shingles recently. He also is getting pins and needles in various parts of his head a lot and having shooting pains. Poor guy is all skin and bone and doesn't seem to have much interest in eating anything.
So after the care home and traffic hell I headed across town again to pick him up and deposit him at MIL's. Which took another hour.

No doubt i'll get another call in a few days asking me to take him home again. Why he doesn't just get a taxi I have no idea but after every trip he forces a tightly folded tenner into my hand and won't take no for an answer.
