We're Back!

It feels so good to be home. We had a great time but there is no place like... well, you know. And something amazing happened with the birds while we were gone. Somehow, Susan, our house sitter, managed to chase off the seagulls and make the crows and or ravens (I'm still not sure) feel more confident and in charge. This morning when I fed them there were two who came boldly onto the deck to eat, not just the dog food, but the peanuts. This one opened his mouth beak to shout loudly about his ownership of the deck and out fell his peanut. ;-) The two of them kept storming in and grabbing whatever they wanted. Now, you might think this is a problem. But for us it isn't because we wanted crows and ravens to come. They, along with the jays and other corvids, are some of our favorite birds. So we were delighted. Like I said, it is good to be home.
