Life In The Hedges

I crawled into a hedgerow to get this shot today…and managed to wedge the camera in a fork in a branch, so that I could do a focus stack (five shots).

The trees are planted along the top of an embankment along the old southbound lay-by on the A1.

I anm intrigued how they all appear to have sprouted new branches in roughly the same direction, creating a tunnel - though not quite up to Game Of Thrones Dark Hedges standard.  I also noticed a ‘worn’ path along the top of the embankment. Now I am guessing that there aren’t many folk daft enough to get inside, so I presume this must be down to local wildlife..foxes and rabbits probably.
