Leicester has got through to the final four and will place a more detailed bid in by September along with Dundee, Hull and Swansea Bay.

You can see the outside broadcast vans for BBC East Midlands Today in this shot. I saw their tawdry report tonight and feel, after watching, that Dundee should win primarily because its where BBC Radio 4's Eddie Mair comes from ;-)

BBC EM today continually reports on Leicester with all the passion of an out of town business park. The piece to camera live from the Cultural Quarter began with "courted criticism" - as if anywhere would court criticism!
