The Community Lunch

The community in our wee corner of north-west Mull is very special, clearly demonstrated today by the atmosphere at the Dervaig Community Christmas Lunch. Food and volunteer helpers materialised as if by magic (a slick operation behind the scenes) to set up a festive dining room in the village hall. Tables groaned with food produced by volunteers and enjoyed by over 80 people, including the 15 children and their teachers from our local primary school. Carols were sung and quizzes were done and much chatter and laughter filled the air. A truly memorable event.
