We walked the next stage of the Wicklow Way today from Glendalough to Glenmalure. It took an inordinate amount of time but when you get shots like this it is worth the hard slog. I was wondering why the deer didn't run as soon as we were spotted but quickly realised it was a case of poor injured Bambi as s/he was holding a foreleg up all the time. Not sure why - its not deer season and there was no obvious fresh injury - hope s/he recovers
