The berry thief

Once, this hawthorn was smothered in berries but not now as they provide a tasty meal for a variety of birds and the squirrels.  The shot of this blackbird was taken through glass some 70 feet away on a day when the rain never seemed to stop so apologies for the quality.

In other news: today is The Son's birthday and this year he is celebrating his 21st for the second time around!  We picked up V from school and she was collected by her mummy later after which The Son and Mr MC went to the pub for a celebratory drink and game of cards.  I stayed at home and watch TV.  We certainly know how to live it up in this family!
