His grandfather’s boat

Change of itinerary. We have called in Floro and abandoned plans for Loen and Stavanger. Severe storms are forecast and, after a lovely morning, we’re trying to get ahead of the worst. 

Floro is charming and beautiful. About a hundred of us went up to the church where we met the priest (who shared prayers and lit a candle for peace). A reporter from the local paper joined us and, with the priest and our expedition leader, sang a Norwegian carol.

Time to visit the harbour and Main Street. I was admiring the boat on the right in my blip when this lovely man told me it was his grandfather’s. He happily posed for my photo.
