Playa del Windy

After yesterday's successful car tour today was bound to be a bit lack lustre in comparison. It probably didn't help that I had a headache that I just couldn't shake as we headed north via Candelaria, big church and lots of statues, to the capital, Santa Cruz. To be honest forgetting the guide book wasn't the greatest idea we had and so we didn't really know what to do in Santa Cruz except get a bit lost.
So we gave up on that and headed on up the coast to Playa de las Teresitas, a gorgeous looking -imported- golden sand beach...
...one problem...
...it was ridiculously windy and felt like thousands of tiny needles stabbing you all over as the sand whipped around.
So we gave up on that and headed to Puerto de la Cruz instead. We should have gone there from the start!
