The Wasp & the Eagle
I'm beginning to realise that I have a lot favourite flowers. This is one of our Aquilegias whose name is derived from the Latin aquila for eagle due to the likeness from certain angles to an eagles claw. Once again, the floral scene was interupted by a flying insect - this time some kind of wasp (positive ID's welcomed). Relatively slow shutter speed here so an apparently wingless wasp but nice and sharp all the same. I guess everyone buying a macro lens must go through this phase ..
