Stirling castle

Hectic day socialising with very little time left for blipping. This is a snatched pic of Stirling castle.
The castle gets over 300,000 visitors a year and this is expected to rise even more next year.

Next year is going to be an important one for Stirling which will be celebrating the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn ( 1314) when Robert the Bruce kicked the English out of Scotland.

It is also the year of the Scottish Referendum when we will be asked to vote for independence and break the union with England.

Anyone living in Scotland gets a vote but exiled Scots do not. This is a very sore point with many as you can well imagine.
