Kirkby Lonsdale Brass Band

On a whim - I can't think of any other or better reason - the Minx and I went along to the Kirkby Lonsdale Brass Band's Christmas Carols, this evening. 

It was absolutely splendid: parochial in the best sense of the word. Haphazard in places, but ultimately charming. And very well played.

Plus, the Minx won the raffle, which meant we had champagne when we got home.
