Waxwings
WEDNESDAY
I drove over to Rhuddlan for a haircut this morning and, as usual, parked in the Aldi car park and walked to the barber's shop.
I had heard yesterday that waxwings had been spotted in the Aldi car park and noticed a handful of people with large lenses trained on a couple of rowan trees.
I can't imagine why a flock of birds would travel thousands of miles from Scandinavia to feast on a a couple of scraggly trees between a discount store, a Premier Inn and a KFC. But the birds didn't disappoint.
