Panettone and Pandoro

These Italian Christmas cakes are two of my favourite things about Christmas - and lots of other people's as well it seems as over 1 million were bought last December 2022.
Today is the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year.  It is terrifically windy but not too cold with a max of 12°C.  I am so excited, our youngest son arrives home today, flying in from New York, l think the plane may arrive early with such a tail wind.
