Seasonal
After the Christmas tree was delivered yesterday, we spent the evening retrieving the decorations from the eaves and putting up sparkly bubbles. We added lights to the tree and then around the windows.
At work, we’re spending a lot of time on a domain model and entity relationship diagram. There are times when I feel this isn’t really proper product work and should come from architects or system engineers. And there are times when I feel this is entirely the correct thing for product to be defining so that our final system interacts with the real world in the way that we, in the product team, imagine. In the end I guess it’s very collaborative, but right now it feels like we’re spending many hours working through this. I hope that pays off.
Later in the day, some work on the change management aspects of the contract with Amobee. This is always a very time-consuming piece of work and not something I particularly enjoy doing.
In the evening, we walked to Tesco to pick up some Chritmas-themed items. One of the items we found was Christmas pudding digestive biscuits. We’ll be saving these until Mum and Dad visit but I am intrigued.
Given we have been away on our Isle of Wight experiment for a month, walking around the roads of Raynes Park was a bit of a different experience. I can say with confidence that today’s walk was nowhere near as nice as those by the sea.
