In ancient times ..,

In ancient times this place was an active volcano, among the oldest rocks to be found in the UK and just around the corner from my sisters house .This is the view from a recently opened cafe which we retreated to , from the rain .
The dreaded motorway network was snarled up just south of the M6 junction off to North Wales so we left it and made our way across country to the East Midlands .
We have gifts to deliver and family folk to see , a nice meal with one of my brothers and my sister this evening. .
