Brakes and Breaks
Today after art class, I had to take my car in for service. I know this is going to sound strange but I actually look forward to going. The dealership knows exactly what customer service means and they have me hooked. I had some problems with the brakes and needed the oil changed. I probably could have gone to other, quicker places but why would I when I get to sit in a nice lounge, free Wi-Fi, computers to use if you did not bring your own and a huge flat screen TV. They have comfortable places to sit and even provide free drinks, coffee and snacks. I mean seriously, what's not to like?
I had planned to be there about an hour because they also wash your car before giving it back to you. I brought my IPad and was all settled in. I was happy.
I had peace and quiet, nobody bothering me and it was an excuse to relax. I was there about 20 minutes before the service manager came over to me and said that I needed new brakes and it would take longer than they originally told me. He had such a look of stress on his face, apologized, and offered to drive me home if I did not want to wait. Silly man. I told him it was no problem and that I did not mind waiting at all! This was like vacation for me!! I was not going anywhere. I had my snack, my coffee, the Yankee game was on TV and I was flipping through my emails on my IPad.
A look of relief came over his face and he asked me if I was sure because it could be two hours before the car was ready. I smiled and told him it was fine. He was probably so confused.
The photo is a hanging plant of geraniums that is in the pool area. I love the bright red color. The sun was at a perfect angle when I took this. I think it's a great photo...or maybe it's just the relaxing day I had.
