Fuzzy mezzy late day.
Quite an odd day indeed. Yesterday we did this small trip around archipelago via boat, visiting friends. After 11pm these monkeys which I was driving, decided that we should go to "one drink" to Teersalo. Of course there was some band playing and it took bit longer than expected. While leaving, my buddies were on a "quite relaxed state". It was 00.30 and we were ready to take off. I was driving. The second we took the ropes off, we had 4 totally valid captains on board. I asked that "can I go? Is there anything behind me?" (Of course I couldn't see anything behind that steamy window). They said go, go, it's clear.
Boom
Clank
Clank
Zoom.
Engine stopped running
Silence.
All I could think of was cursewords. We crashed to a buoy. The chain was around our screws. That was just the start of the problems. We lifted props as far as we could, tried to unchain our boat, but it was hard. We couldn't tie boat back to quay, because we were 10 meters off the shore already. We held our boat on place by holding the boat next to us. And then one of us felt from deck. Damn.
Luckily he grabbed the handrail. (Thank god the rail could carry his weight!) We managed to lift him up, somehow untied our boat and headed home.
But.
We tried to accelerate, ok, the speed increased, but the whole boat started to shake. Props were broken, or at least they bended somehow. We had to keep the speed in about 5km/h just to not break the engine, but atleast we were able to enjoy this fantastic morning sun.
