Tree, ornaments

Window cleaners first thing, wind not withstanding; all the insides were cleaned, and almost all of the outsides. The views out are much cleaner and the sun isn't shining through a year of accumulated grime.

Then a  Library meeting; induction for a new board position. Got mince pies from Lannan to accompany it, since the venue was in Stockbridge rather than George IV Bridge.  

Small party with the neighbors who live below us; their friends and another set of people in the building in the afternoon; the blip is the top section of their tree, with hand made ornaments made by the Ukrainian refugees who were in Leith harbour this time last year. Some interesting conversation about bike lanes, energy futures, Alistair Darling,  American politics ..we did some of the 'interpret Scots to Americans, interpret Americans to Scots' for socioeconomics that is called for in mixed company.
