2023 Sunday — sundown

The sun is almost as far south now as it ever is. A couple more days till winter solstice and then the direction changes . . . a little like high and low tide. I guess that’s a big stretch in comparisons.

When we purchased this coastal shack we knew the front room had a decent view, but honestly it was so camouflaged by the then leaking windows, water stained wood, and extremely tattered curtains that we did not comprehend the reality of the view. It was less than two months after escrow closed that we purchased new windows. That made an enormous difference.

We’ve always enjoyed sunsets, but this house allows us the viewing every time the sun is not blocked by clouds. Today the sunset was spectacular.
