Revised Poohsticks

The first job this morning was to design a new marble run which outclassed all other versions, took over much of the study and kept Euan engaged feeding it with spaceballs for some time.  His Mum and Dad headed out on a secret mission late morning so the three of us remaining got well dressed for the damp, blustery weather and set out to feed the ducks, which were very grateful and then went in search of a Poohsticks location.  Unfortunately, our go to place had far too much water coming down which created a stopper beneath the bridge holding back all the sticks and leaves we tried.  Undeterred, Euan headed in to the stream and was happy sending various bits of flora down from this vantage point.  After that was exhausted we all decided we needed an energy boost so it was off to the café for lunch and from there to the playpark.

When the weather set in for the remainder of the day, Euan announced he was ready for home and, once back, and in to dry clothes, we settled to the rest of the afternoon on jigsaws, treasure hunt maps, his number blocks and return to the marble run.  We managed to keep him away from screens until the return of Mum and Dad when he settled to Winnie the Pooh and the Highway Rat.  Tired now!
