In the Bleak Midwinter

Birsay Bay. Light snow came on and I was forever trying to keep it off my cameras. Birds were few and distant, but included golden plover, snipe, curlew, red-breasted merganser etc.
I never see anyone at the little beach-house. It is called 'Zanzibar' and I think has a slightly Hopperesque look to it. I did think of making this black and white but actually like the green buoy.
