A little poem from the socials…
It’s Christmas time in Bethlehem
The tanks are rolling in
The bleak mid-winter’s showing off
Sin on sin on sin
Where once a bairn lay sleepin’
We hear the women cry
As the innocents in Gaza city
‘neath the rubble lie
The star that lit the night sky
Is sadly now replaced
With rockets of white phosphorous
Humanity disgraced
Where once the angels hovered
Fighter jets each day
Drop their bombs with pleasure
As the little children play
Hostages and Hospitals
Vanished in a glance
Bang yer heids the gither, please
At least give peace a chance?
Fair enough, defend yersel’s
It’s well within yer right
But you could perform a miracle
Upon this Christmas night
While the Shepherds watch their flocks
In the land so once revered
For peace and love, it’s looking like
Wise men have disappeared
It’s Christmas time in Bethlehem
You have to understand
Eyes and teeth are much more precious
Than a piece o’ holy land
