Found...

...underneath a tree in the garden this morning. I do hope the little ones were fledged and this fell out of the tree, rather than taken by a predator. There are tiny soft features in the nest, which made me think that it was probably a sad ending for the family.

I've no idea what bird made this nest, but it is tiny (12 x 8cms) with very little room. It is beautifully made with tiny twigs and greenery and very compact.
