Christmas Preparations

A day of preparations for Christmas Day. This included washing, cleaning, a short excursion to the shops, and dropping off some last minute Christmas cards. I also had two long dog walks, just Merlin and I.

Meanwhile Andy and his son went off on the train to watch the football in Portsmouth. They had a good time but the game was mediocre. They seemed pleased to get home to the warm house and a chilli con carne dinner. Later we watched (on Netflix) the Wes Anderson adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar. We enjoyed it very much.

Grateful today:
- For a relaxing wander in Emsworth enjoying the festive atmosphere.
- For chocolate muffins and a good cup of tea.
- For gold finches visiting the hedgerow opposite our kitchen.
