Cloudscape

Heading from Twizel to Lake Ōhau along the Ōhau canal looking towards the Alps. Peaceful and untroubled which doesnt reflect the end of the previous day whan I came off my bike at speed when I hit loose drainage metal (which is pretty sharp to land on). A, few deep grazes and a dislocated finger. Fortunately, the next person to cycle by was a UK GP who gave my dislocated finger a quick yank and its almost as good as new. Better than travelling 4 hours to an ED and waiting another 4 - 6 hours, so a lucky bit of serendepity. We invited him to stay in Wellington as he was locuming in Blenheim.
