Away in a Manger
Another Christmas memory, the manger we got from my Auntie Stell, my father's sister, around 1956. A few years later my little sister posed in front of it. We all had great fun rearranging the figurines, nearly every day. It fascinated me. I always loved miniature things. I sometimes had to rescue a sheep or a Wise Man as little Kathie loved taking them and running around the house with them, giggling all the way. I have a nativity scene made by the same Italian company, Fontanini, who has been making them since 1908. (extra) Gift#355: Nativities old and new.
