Christmas Eve

This is another of my nativity sets :)

For Christians, Christmas is one of the most important celebrations in the religious calendar..

Last year around this time, myself and a couple of colleagues, explained what Christmas means to us individually.  I wanted to share these words this year when life is difficult for so many.

It isn’t about the presents, or the tree or even visits to Santa.

To me, the real story of Christmas began long, long ago –

There was a long journey for Mary, on the back of a donkey, heavily pregnant.  Joseph walked by her side in the cold with bare feet.
Everywhere they went there was no room for them to stay. Until at last, an Inn Keeper allowed them into a stable so bare and their child Jesus was born and placed in a manger.

The most precious gift this Christmas is Jesus, and he gives me peace, love, hope and joy throughout the year.

I hope you all have a Happy Christmas whatever you are doing.

This morning I was the only Steward at church (normally we have 3), but as the service was very empty it was straightforward :)

Then I've just been relaxing :)

My friend who I work for in the dementia charity as a volunteer, has offered to read my applications through for me which is really helpful :)
