Christmas Eve
Joanna had invited me along to a carol service at Applegarth Church, near Lockerbie. This was especially poignant as this beautiful wee church will close its doors with a final service next Sunday. The Session have been keeping things going without a minister for some time.
The church was full today and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Lots of carols were sung. Joanna's mother and her family lived locally and this was their church - her grandparents, aunt and uncle are buried in the cemetery and we went to see their graves after the service. Thank you, Joanna for letting me share this with you.
I am home now and about to make some mince pies :-)
Extras of Joanna at the church door and the church and war memorial.
