Today's Good Deed (almost....)
Out for our walk we saw a car parked a little unusually and it quickly became apparent it had glided off the track and was stuck in the ditch. Often it's enough to give the car a hefty push as it reverses, and out it pops. However in this case the front corner was well off the road and we could see it would need a bit more than a push.
The guy driving was part of the home-help team from the municipality, on his way to a nearby farmhouse where a client needs visits several times a day.
Our next strategy was to go home and get our car but before we could do that Håkan, from the farm you see in the background, could be seen trundling towards us in his tractor.
In short order he'd towed the car back onto the road. There seemed to be no damage, deep snow is forgiving in this way.
After that Håkan returned to his Christmas, the home help to the farm and his client, and we continued on our walk.
We did some minor Christmas activities today, listening to the church service on the radio, the final tidy around, the Christmas tablecloth on the table, eating, drinking and baking Lucia buns, Jan's favourite!
Finished of the day with a video conversation to England, catching up with D & J in Blackburn.
It's past midnight so in Sweden it is now Christmas Day - Happy Christmas blippers!!
