Christmas Eve.

Alexandra was due to go and get the girls at midday.
But we had a really bad storm which started at about 10.30.

It was absolutely horrendous, and there was no way Alexandra was able to drive in it.

In the end it eased up enough for her to leave at a quarter to twelve.

We had a bad storm last night as well.

Both have caused a lot of flooding as well as a lot of lost power.

Sadly, a lot of people will not be having such a good Christmas.

Our girls were really excited.  We had a good afternoon, and a lovely Christmas Eve dinner.

The highlight, pulling the crackers and telling the corny jokes.

Later on, they went outside to sprinkle reindeer food.

Then back inside to lay out food and drink for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.

Two very excited little girls eventually went to bed.
