A nice Bordeaux . . .

. . . waiting for the Turkey (slow cooked from M&S but with all the trimmings by Gordon), whilst we enjoyed smoked salmon from North Uist. We’ve had a lovely quiet Christmas Day - just us two, good food, wine, sherry . . . and lots of books to read. No TV.

One part of the family in Kent - nice for them to have a quiet, relaxed family day together, they live such busy lives. And two spending Christmas in Cornwall for the first time, enjoying meeting up with friends and cooking their own dinner.

At 11am we all met up on Zoom - so nice to see everyone and chat. The questions we were all asked to answer (see previous blip) turned into such a fun activity. The clever software, which Joanne had found, put each person’s set of answers on screen and we individually had to try to link the answers with a person and write down what we thought - so interesting, but so tricky. Of course we could all get one right, our own - as long as we could remember what we had answered! And of course it tripped up those jokers who had put down obscure answers, as we knew who had done it. Great fun. A perfect festive activity. And who won - Clair of course as she knew who was watching which film, liked which food etc. Then, with a bit of logical thinking, she got them all. Good for Mum!

Hopefully we will have a festive day together in a few days time but this has been just right for now.
