Happy Christmas

Obviously not quite the Christmas we would have liked, as J was still in hospital. But we’ve had a good day. We went up to the hospital with some presents and Christmas cake and spent over an hour with J. He was responding to the presents (and had a huge grin when he opened the chocolate ginger biscuits my parents had brought). We then had a short, dampish walk, and a light lunch of smoked salmon. Then a relaxed afternoon before the traditional turkey and all the trimmings.

None of us are very keen on icing, so for the past few years my mum has just put marzipan on the cake.
