What a woman!

Velma’s 70th birthday party tonight, organised for her by her kids. I was asked to do a speech (which was scary!) - and so was sat on the top table (which meant I got to chat to some of the other speech givers who were all lovely but also very interesting!). Was feeling unwell and wondered to the last minute whether I’d have to call off sick (which I had to do for another thing we had slightly earlier in the evening with Sam’s family) - but very glad I went!
