Uber for Possums?

I was relaxing in a park cafe this morning with a cappuccino when I heard a rustling from a large tree whose branches form a canopy over the cafe. Here's what I saw; this brush tailed possum with its baby (quite a large baby) hitching a piggy back. Possums are nocturnal, so it was most unusual to see these two out and about at 10am.

Shortly after I took this, the mum attempted a leap across to a different branch, missed and plunged down, scattering twigs and foliage until it came to rest with a thump on the grass beneath. Junior hung on tight all the way. It seems no harm was done, as the mother scampered up the next tree, baby still holding on.
