A Boxing Day Walk

After a week or more of dull and damp weather, the forecast today was for unbroken sunshine.  We set off up onto the ridge to walk off some of yesterday's excesses but as we reached the crest of the ridge the view became one of dark threatening clouds.  We missed the worst of it, which seemed to be heading for the Langdale Valley, and the sun behind us was refracted by the light rain to give us this splendid rainbow.
