Rhodey
This morning was meant to be sunny. I went to the reserve and met up with another birder. We saw quantities of goldcrests at close range and a handful of firecrests but the light was terrible, which made it no fun at all! So instead you have a blip of another of our houseguests, Rhodey, a second ridgeback, though not as big as Duke. He's a real sweetie. Tomorrow he leaves here with a couple of the others, so then we'll be down to four.
This afternoon we went over to see Big Sis, to exchange presents and eat chocolate cake. K and I took Hazel and Bramble up to the flat. Bram and Sis's dog Jax had a great face-off, but the humans enjoyed themselves - other than J who was once again walking dogs, this time on Shawford Down.
We still haven't eaten the Christmas pud or opened the champagne. The latter, at least, should be remedied tonight.
Hope your Christmas hols continue to be enjoyable xx
PS: I did want to say how incredibly impressed I was seeing all your Christmas offerings yesterday. No wonder the British Library archives Blip, the picture it gives of Christmas fashions and habits in 2023 is fantastic!!
