Back home now after a gloriously sunny Boxing Day in Doune. Liv went to her first pantomime, designed for very wee ones at the Macrobert Art Centre in Stirling University and was entranced.

Alexander stayed home and cooked a magnificent ham in the barbecue which we all enjoyed with salad and home made pickle. Granny Peeble’s Christmas cake was in another league, she had been feeding it brandy for days. The flavour was subtle and then a minute later a wonderfully warm kick.
