Boxing Day

The sun shone! It had retreated behind clouds by the time my mum and I got out for a walk but what a walk! It must have been a good 2km if not more; not bad for a stick-wielding 91 year old. She’s become quite sprightly now she lives in a first floor flat and her improved strength is noticeable. What’s even better is how much she enjoyed herself today, she’s currently chuckling away watching Sister Act on the telly- I can’t tell you how out of character that is!

My mum calls herself “the ancient monument” so here she’s paired with another one, the lovely Houghton Mill in Cambridgeshire.
