Tuesday: Boxing Day

Something was upsetting Merlin the cockerel at 5:30am, my bedroom window is slightly open because of the current mild weather and I could hear his crowing, but he must have settled down because next thing I knew it was 7am and the full moon was setting and shining brightly through our side window.

We waited until it was light then I went to open the coop and put some chicken feed down for their breakfast, leaving the hens in their run.

Weather felt dry and settled, even though sky was overcast - we went over, I let the chickens out onto the garden whilst MrD adjusted the gate slightly so that it was easier for me to open and close.

Late morning MrD decided to go for a ride on his motorbike and went around Anglesey. Whilst he was out I collected the last of the windfall Bramley apples, chopped them up and threw them under the Mahonia for the black birds and any other hungry wild creatures :-)
