Final Quilt...

...of the year was put on our bed today. I may be taking some time off from quilting for awhile...In John's words...that will keep us awake at night....

It's been a quiet day. We arranged a trip to Kathy's for today when we had to cancel last Monday because of the rat disaster....We were all wondering what we were thinking this morning but we carried on and we were glad we did. We usually take Spike along with us, but he was such a wreck at Dana and Jim's yesterday that we decided he needs to get used to being left at home sometimes. We did get Spike and Blake to play with a new toy for a bit...Blake wound up dragging Spike around the Christmas tree. When Spike finally got it he went off with it and was very quiet until we realized he had eaten a large hole in one of the tennis balls, so it was back to the Kong again.

I gave John an Apple watch for Christmas (so I can keep track of him ;-)
but they couldn't set him up with it because his phone is too old, so he and Jim went off to get him a new phone while I tracked down Jim's Christmas present which never arrived. That turned out to be a lot less of a hassle than I thought, but getting the new phone involved more than one stop, and synching it with the watch is still going on. Nothing about this technology is easy but thank goodness for Jim who insists he enjoys it.

Baked potatoes with broccoli and pancetta tonight, and a movie on television.
