Constructing

Tony has always been difficult to buy presents for as basically he doesn't want anything and, since retirement, if we have needed anything we have sorted it so this Christmas I gave him something he has rediscovered through playing with Euan, an adult Lego set.  Here he is on the day when Storm Gerrit is howling around the house, beginning his build of the Apollo 11 Lunar Lander.  I shall blip it again when finished but he has a long way to go!

Before the weather set in really badly we took the train in to Leeds and ordered a new mattress.  It was fun trying them out at John Lewis and I could have easily gone to sleep if I had stayed there long enough.  After a look at curtains we had a bit of lunch in Pret and then returned to the station where significant crowds were pouring out.  I don't envy anyone trying to get north of Newcastle today on the east coast route as it seemed the floods were preventing travel to Berwick and Edinburgh.
