We rode the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway from Toddington to Cheltenham and back this morning : there was a delay of course and visibility out the windows were poor due to the rain, but still it was fun. We rode in the first class compartment, secluded from the Hoi poloi :) it reminded me of my child and young adulthood as my father worked for British Rail and we got free first class travel. Very handy when you went from the bottom of the country to the top for university!
Of course he’d have had something to say about the late 1940s loco Foremark Hall pulling pulling later coaches but still..
