Hole in the wall

Today's the day ........................ to survive

The tenacity of Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me.

How does this little blackcurrant bush manage to survive - even to the extent of producing fruit - in a hole in a wall? There is no soil to speak of apart from perhaps a bit of crumbling cement.

And how did it get there in the first place? Perhaps a bird took a blackcurrant (let's face it - the birds pinch most of our blackcurrants) and dropped it on top of the wall. Who knows - but it got there somehow.

It even looks quite green and healthy.......................
