3650 = 10
In the evening, I scrabbled round the house looking for something in multiples of 10, and found a stack of sewing patterns. Not very special or exciting, but it's the best I was going to do today.
It's been a ride, moving from a relatively inexpensive 'pocket camera' to a grown up one, from belt-tightening times to comfortable and back again. From monosyllabic entries to voluble ones. And, possibly, an improvement in photography skills, though a lot of that is in the eye of the beholder. From having a spouse to not having one.
(You can stop reading here because the rest is probably just depressed moaning.)
Today was very difficult, as it was the day of the cremation, in Inverness. I decided not to go to it, which was a good thing as the weather was so abominable. Instead, I planned to go to Sarclet (in the extra) with a recently widowed friend at the time of the cremation, because Sarclet was one of DH's favourite places. In the end, she couldn't make it because a fallen tree meant she would be too late arriving here. So I wept my way down to Sarclet, got out the car into the gale and wept into the wind, wept my way back to the car, and wept until I'd calmed down a bit. My friend had waited for me, and we went out for lunch, which was more clement and far cheerier.
