A moment of calm

Today was the day of Storm Gerrit.  I was woken up in the early hours by gale force winds, fortunately no harm done anywhere outside.  Those in the North were the hardest hit with power failure, havoc and rain and snow.

The grandchildren came over for the morning as their parents were working.  We did jigsaws again and played with their new toys.  The rain was very heavy outside but not much flooding in the fields and the storm passed by mid afternoon only to recharge for tonights gales. It has been very mild, 12 degrees Celsius.
